Your AI agent is powerful. But it shouldn't have to learn everything from scratch.
Every developer is rebuilding the same prompts, workflows, integrations, and capabilities. There should be a better way.
Meet SkillGild. A marketplace for reusable AI skills.
Discover skills created by developers and specialists, add them to your workflow, and make your agents capable in seconds.
Instead of rebuilding everything yourself, compose your agent from skills that already work.
And if you've built something valuable, publish it once, and let other developers discover and use it.
A marketplace where developers, creators, teams, and AI agents share capabilities, instead of rebuilding them.
Your agent is underqualified. Skill it up.
What SkillGild is
SkillGild is an AI skills marketplace for developers, creators, teams and AI agents. Developers discover reusable AI agent skills, such as Claude Code skills for design, video, research and development, and install them into the coding agent they already use. Creators apply to publish their own skills and developer workflows on the marketplace.
Instead of every team rebuilding the same prompts, scripts and integrations, a skill is built once by someone who knows the job well and reused by every agent that needs it.
Our tagline says it plainly: Your agent is underqualified. Upgrade its skills.
What an AI agent skill is
An AI agent skill is a packaged capability that teaches a coding agent to do one job well, such as designing a logo, rendering a video or plotting research results. In the open Agent Skills format, a skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file of instructions plus any scripts and resources the agent needs. Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI all load skills in this format.
SkillGild skills are hosted. You install a small SKILL.md wrapper, and the protected prompts and server tools run on SkillGild. Learn more in what Claude skills are and how agent skills differ from MCP servers.
How it works
- Discover. Browse the skills catalog by category or price, and read each listing’s inputs and examples.
- Install. Run
skillgild install <skill>once. The CLI adds the skill wrapper and connects your agent to SkillGild’s local MCP server. - Use. Ask your agent for the task. It sends the request, SkillGild runs the skill and returns the result.
Skills can also be called through the REST API and the TypeScript, Python and Go client libraries. Start with the quickstart.
Works with the coding agent you already use
One SkillGild account and one connection work across agents. Each setup guide has the exact commands:
- Claude Code: Install Claude Code skills
- Codex: Install Codex skills
- Cursor: Cursor MCP setup
- Gemini CLI: Gemini CLI skills
- Any MCP client: Add skills to a coding agent
Skills by category
The marketplace currently lists skills in these categories. See the best Claude Code skills for a guided selection.
Who it is for
- Developers who want production-ready skills for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI without maintaining them.
- Teams who want every engineer’s agent to use the same tested workflows through one connection.
- Creators who build skills and workflows and want to publish them on SkillGild. Plans and access are on the pricing page, and the affiliate program pays commission on the Pro payments of people you refer.
Why hosted skills
- Less to maintain. The creator updates the hosted skill; you do not copy a new folder into every project.
- Protected configuration. Prompts and server tool code are encrypted at rest and are not included in the installed wrapper.
- Fair metering. If a run fails at any step, the reserved run is released and not counted against your allowance.
Hosted skills need an internet connection. If you would rather read and run every line yourself, compare SkillGild with free GitHub skills.
