SkillGild for creators

Publish AI agent skills. Reach every coding agent.

Write a skill once and it runs in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI. This guide covers everything: applying, building the skill, the media every listing needs, the automated checks, Free and Pro tiers, and how creators earn.

How to publish a skill, step by step

Six steps from application to a live skill page.

  1. Step 1

    Apply to become a creator

Sign in, open Account → Creator studio and tell us your name, the handle you want, your website and what you build. Every application is read by a person. Approval unlocks the studio and your public page at /creators/your-handle.

  2. Step 2

    Create a skill draft

Give the skill a name, a URL slug and a description that says who it is for and what it produces. That listing becomes the skill's public page, so write it for the people who will find it in search.

  3. Step 3

Write the agent guide and pick tools

The guide is what the user's agent reads: when to use the skill, the steps to follow and when to call each tool. Then select the server tools it needs from SkillGild's reviewed library. You never upload code, and your skill works in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI.

  4. Step 4

Add 1 video and 3 images

Upload at least one demo video and three images; add up to twelve. Show a real input becoming a real result. No media yet? Make it with a SkillGild skill.

  5. Step 5

    Submit: automated checks run first

Within about a minute, SkillGild checks the listing, media, guide, safety, every tool and every link. If something needs fixing, it comes straight back to you with the reasons. See every check.

  6. Step 6

    Review, publish, share

The SkillGild team reviews quality and fit, agrees the tier with you and publishes. Your skill gets its own page, your media gallery and a link to your website. Share it with your referral link and earn on every Pro member you bring.

Two ways to list a skill

Hosted skill, built in the studio

Your agent guide plus SkillGild server tools. The valuable part runs on SkillGild, every use is counted, and it can be offered Free or Pro. This is the route for skills you want to earn from.

Open-source SKILL.md

Already published on GitHub? Mention the repository in your application and it is listed as a free community skill, credited to you with links to your repository and website.

Media: 1 video and 3 images, minimum

People choose skills by watching them work. Every listing needs at least one demo video and three images before review, and more is better: up to twelve form the gallery on your page.

File requirements

VideoMP4 (H.264) or WebM, 5–120 seconds, up to 50 MB
ImagesPNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 10 MB
SizeAt least 640 pixels wide; 16:9 at 1280×720 or larger looks best
TotalUp to 12 per skill

What makes a good demo

  • Open on the result, then show how the skill got there.
  • Use a real input, not a toy one, and keep it under a minute.
  • Images: the result, the agent conversation, and a before and after.
  • Add a one-line description to each upload; it becomes the alt text.

No video yet? Make one with a SkillGild skill

  • BragFree

Reads your project and turns it into a short launch video with music and motion.

  • HyperFramesFree

Write a video as HTML and render it: walkthroughs, title cards, captions.

  • RemotionFree

Build a demo video in React, frame by frame, from your agent.

  • Nano BananaFree

Generate the screenshots, covers and thumbnails for your three images.

  • Apex ReelPro

A polished product reel when you want the video to sell.

  • Atelier MotionPro

Motion-design explainers that show how the skill works.

Or install the Product Launch collection in one command. A quick route: install Brag, run it in your project, and upload the MP4 it renders as your demo video.

The automated checks

Every submission is checked automatically before a person sees it, so problems come back to you in minutes, not days. Pass these and review is about quality and fit.

Name and description
No placeholder text; a description long enough to say who it is for.
Demo media
At least 1 video and 3 images, each validated on upload.
Agent guide
Long enough to follow, and it tells the agent when to call every tool you picked.
Safety scan
No API keys or private keys, no piped install scripts, no destructive commands, no reading SSH keys or .env files, no prompt injection, no wallet seed phrases.
Tool test runs
Every selected tool runs with a sample input and must respond.
Links
Links in your guide must load.
AI review
A model scores clarity, usefulness and safety, and explains anything it flags.

Free and Pro skills

SkillGild has two tiers. Users never buy skills one by one: Pro unlocks every Pro skill. The SkillGild team agrees your skill's tier with you during review.

Free

Open to every signed-in user. The fastest way to build an audience, collect reviews and send people to your website. Every open-source skill is Free.

Pro

Available to Pro subscribers. Right for hosted skills with real depth, where the server tools do work an agent cannot do alone.

How creators earn

Live now

Affiliate commission

Your account has a referral link. Put it on your skill page, README, videos and posts. You earn 25% of each referred member's first 10 Pro payments, then 10% for as long as they pay. How the affiliate program works.

Planned

Pro revenue share

A share of Pro revenue paid to the creators of Pro skills, split by how much each subscriber actually uses each skill. Using active days rather than run counts keeps it fair and hard to game. Creators will see installs, usage and earnings in the studio.

Creator questions
