Refund Policy
How refunds, cancellations and failed payments work for paid SkillGild Pro access.
At a glance
- Free skills cost nothing. This policy covers paid Pro access only.
- India plans are prepaid and do not renew. Elsewhere, subscriptions renew until you cancel.
- Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund a payment already made.
- Double charges and activation failures are refunded. Ask through support with your transaction reference.
This summary is for orientation only. The numbered sections below are the terms that apply.
The short version
Free skills cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund. This policy covers paid SkillGild Pro access only. If a payment went wrong, or you were charged and did not get what you paid for, write to us and we will look at it.
Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals. It does not, by itself, refund a payment you have already made.
How payment works
Where checkout is available, payment depends on your billing country:
- India: you pay once through Cashfree for the months you choose. Access is prepaid and does not renew automatically, so there is no renewal to cancel and nothing is charged after it ends.
- Everywhere else: you subscribe through Whop. The subscription renews at the interval shown at checkout until you cancel it.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method through the same provider that took the payment.
Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel a Whop subscription at any time from Account → Billing. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep Pro access until then, and you are not charged again.
To avoid a renewal charge, cancel before the renewal date shown in your account. A renewal that has already been charged is handled as a refund request below.
When we refund
We will refund a payment where:
- you were charged more than once for the same purchase;
- you were charged but the Pro access you paid for was not activated on your account, and we cannot fix that;
- the charge was made in error, for example after a cancellation that was confirmed before the renewal date; or
- a refund is required by the law that applies to your purchase.
Outside those cases, refunds are at our discretion. Tell us what happened and we will respond with a decision and a reason.
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first purchase. If you are not satisfied with SkillGild Pro, contact us within 7 days of your initial payment for a full refund.
We do not offer partial refunds for unused time if you cancel in the middle of a billing cycle.
What happens to your access
When a payment is refunded in full, the Pro access that payment bought is withdrawn. For subscriptions, a refund of the current payment ends the matching Pro access on your account.
Free skills, their monthly allowances, and any access granted to you by an administrator or your organization are separate from Pro purchases and are not affected.
Failed, pending and disputed payments
If a payment fails or is still pending, you are not charged for access until it succeeds. If money left your account but Pro access did not appear, contact us with the transaction reference before opening a dispute with your bank. We can usually resolve it faster.
If a payment is reversed through a dispute or chargeback, the Pro access it bought may be withdrawn while the dispute is open.
How to ask for a refund
Use Billing & purchases on the support page or email support@skillgild.dev. Include:
- the email address on your SkillGild account;
- the date of the payment and the transaction reference;
- what went wrong, and what you would like us to do.
Never send full card numbers, CVVs or banking passwords. We do not need them.
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. Once a refund is approved and processed, it typically takes 5 to 10 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank and payment provider.
