What you get

  • Original music from one sentence: podcast intro music, jingles, loops, melodies and background beds
  • An editable MIDI file for every piece, so you can change the notes in any DAW and render again
  • WAV or MP3 rendered on your own machine with sampled instruments: MIDI to MP3 in one command
  • Multi-track arrangements with melody, chords, bass and a drum kit on its own channel
  • Simple tones and sound effects when sox or ffmpeg is installed
  • Safe file handling: it never overwrites an existing file and checks your audio tools before it renders

Is it a good fit?

Good for

  • Podcasters who need intro and outro music without a stock-music subscription
  • App and game developers who need placeholder loops, chimes and UI sounds
  • Video creators who want short background beds cut to an exact length
  • Anyone who wants music they can edit note by note instead of a fixed audio file

Not for

  • AI vocals or songs in the style of a named artist; SongHarbor generates full songs
  • Release-ready mastered tracks; LoopGarden writes and renders, it does not master

Requirements

  • A coding agent that can run commands: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI
  • Python 3.10 or later with the mido package
  • FluidSynth and a General MIDI SoundFont (or TiMidity) to render audio; MIDI works without them
  • ffmpeg for MP3 output (WAV needs nothing extra)

Install the LoopGarden skill

Pick your agent. The wrapper only tells your agent how to start a session. The skill's instructions arrive with each session, after your access is checked.

  1. Sign in once from your terminal.

    Terminal
    skillgild login
  2. Install this skill for Claude Code.

    Terminal
    skillgild install loop-garden --agent claude-code
  3. Register the SkillGild MCP server with Claude Code.

    Terminal
claude mcp add --scope user skillgild -- $(command -v skillgild) mcp

How it runs

  1. Your agent starts a session. SkillGild checks your access and allowance, counts one run, and sends the skill's instructions for this task.
  2. Your agent does the work with its own model and tools, in your project. SkillGild makes no AI model call.

Use it from code

Start a session, follow its guide, then end it. Create an API key under Account and pass it as a bearer token.

Terminal
# Prints the session ID, its tools and the instructions for your agent
skillgild session loop-garden
skillgild end <session-id>

Questions

How do I install the LoopGarden skill in Claude Code?

Install the SkillGild CLI, sign in with skillgild login and register its MCP server with Claude Code, then run skillgild install loop-garden --agent claude-code. Use --agent codex, cursor or gemini-cli for other clients. The install puts LoopGarden's engine in your skills folder, and SkillGild delivers the instructions at the start of each session.

Is LoopGarden an AI jingle generator?

Yes. Describe the jingle, its length and its mood, and your agent composes it as MIDI with LoopGarden's guide, then renders it to WAV or MP3 with real sampled instruments. A 15-second podcast intro takes one request.

Can LoopGarden convert MIDI to MP3?

Yes. Its render command turns any standard MIDI file into WAV or MP3 with FluidSynth and a SoundFont, or with TiMidity. It refuses to overwrite an existing file and cleans up if a render fails.

Does it use a cloud AI music model?

No. Your agent writes the notes as MIDI and your computer renders them with ordinary audio tools. Nothing is uploaded and there is no model to download.

Is LoopGarden free?

Yes. Free skills include 25 runs a month, reset on the 1st. Your agent's own model usage is billed by your AI provider, not SkillGild.
